We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Chess Coach to inspire and develop players of all skill levels. In this role, you will design engaging training sessions, teach strategic thinking, and foster a love for the game of chess. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver dynamic chess lessons tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels
- Teach fundamental concepts such as opening strategies, endgame techniques, and tactical motifs
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and sportsmanship
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Organize friendly competitions and tournaments to promote practical application of skills
- Support students in developing strategic planning, problem-solving, and concentration skills
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to communicate student progress and encourage ongoing participation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or coaching chess, with a passion for inspiring learners
- Robust understanding of chess strategies, tactics, and game analysis
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain concepts and motivate students
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups and learning styles
- Basic knowledge of swimming is a nice-to-have skill that can support program activities or related events
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and committed to fostering a fun and inclusive learning environment
