Kelowna, BC | Hybrid A well-established full-service law firm in Kelowna is looking to add a Litigation Lawyer to its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer with at least 3 years of litigation experience who is looking to continue building their advocacy skills and practice within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The firm has a strong flow of work across multiple practice areas and is looking for someone who enjoys managing files, appearing in court, and working closely with clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files from start to finish
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, and settlement materials
- Conduct legal research
- Attend court appearances and mediations
- Advise clients on litigation strategy and dispute resolution
- Work collaboratively with senior counsel on more complex matters
- Build and grow your practice with internal referral support
Practice Areas
- Civil litigation
- Commercial litigation
- Family law litigation
- Estates litigation
- Construction and builders’ lien matters
- Administrative law matters
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation experience
- Solid drafting and advocacy skills
- Courtroom experience preferred
- Experience in civil or commercial litigation preferred
- Family law or broader litigation backgrounds will also be considered
- Builders’ lien or construction litigation experience is an asset
- Strong organizational and client management skills
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia, or eligible to become licensed in BC
Compensation & Perks
- Salary range: $120,000-$150,000+ depending on experience
