The Civil Roadway – Senior Engineer – Major Projects is a senior-level transportation engineering role supporting complex infrastructure programs in Toronto, Ontario, Canada . The position sits within a multidisciplinary transportation team delivering roadway and highway components for large-scale capital projects, including aviation, light rail transit, and urban infrastructure systems. The role focuses on detailed design oversight, technical coordination, and integration of roadway elements within multimodal transportation projects.

Work spans planning and detailed design phases, with close collaboration across civil, rail, transit, and municipal disciplines. Projects are delivered within regulated public‑sector environments and require adherence to provincial and municipal design standards. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in roadway or highway design for major infrastructure projects, combined with the ability to lead technical teams, manage design quality, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across complex delivery environments.

Reporting to the Senior Civil Design lead, the Civil Roadway Senior Engineer will be responsible for the technical details of Major Projects (Aviation, LRT, etc.) Oversee design elements of roadway/highways supporting major projects. Oversee team performance to ensure project goals and deadlines are met. Manage projects from concept to construction, ensuring compliance with standards and client needs.

Prepare technical designs, specifications, reports, and proposals. Monitor industry trends and financial performance while building strong client relationships.



Pursue new business opportunities in municipal infrastructure and public sector projects.

Oversee schedules to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with goals. University degree in Engineering, with an Ing. or P.At least 12 years of experience in engineering design, project management, or business development within the municipal sector. Demonstrated expertise in transportation infrastructure design and delivery.

Proven organizational capabilities and a adaptable, solution‑driven approach to challenges. Fluency in both written and spoken French and English. Familiarity with rail and transit projects, considered an asset.
