- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations, health authorities, professional associations, regulatory bodies, and other clinical placement partners across the province
- Identify, develop, and facilitate new clinical placement opportunities for the NPSP certificate program
- Collaborate with the Director, NP Programs, and external partners to develop innovative clinical placement models and learning opportunities
- Coordinate clinical placement activities for NPSP certificate students with the Director, NP Programs, and Graduate Office staff
- Facilitate placement planning to align program requirements with available opportunities
- Coordinate communication and information sharing among students, faculty, healthcare partners, and placement agencies
- Support implementation of approved placement plans and address operational requirements
- Maintain systems and processes tracking placements, agreements, capacity, partner information, and documentation
- Provide guidance on placement processes, timelines, documentation requirements, and operational considerations
- Facilitate stakeholder communication to support successful placement experiences
Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing degree required
- Active registration and good standing with the applicable provincial nursing regulatory body (CRNA)
- Experience in nursing practice and strong understanding of healthcare systems, clinical practice environments, and the role of Nurse Practitioners within the Canadian healthcare system
- Knowledge of clinical education environments, clinical placement processes, and operational requirements associated with healthcare student placements
- Ability to facilitate partnerships and work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong consultation, negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and independently manage complex issues involving multiple stakeholders,
competing priorities, and evolving operational requirements
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, including identifying emerging issues, assessing risks, and developing practical solutions
- Experience with databases, tracking systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications
- Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, Indigenous engagement, and respectful learning and working environments
- Ability to build credibility and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field considered an asset
- Experience with HSPnet or other placement management systems considered an asset
