Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of meals for fridges in 6 local elementary and secondary schools.
- Prepare healthy snacks for local school outreach visits.
- Follow established recipes and food handling procedures to maintain consistency and safety standards.
- Ensure all food is stored properly, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.




- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying appropriate person of supply needs.

Qualifications

- Experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on meal preparation and cooking.
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards.
- Current FoodSafe certificate.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food industry best practices, and basic cooking techniques.

Hours of Work

- 30 hours between Monday - Friday.
- Hours are flexible between 8am - 5pm.
- No weekends or statutory holidays.
- This is job is from September - June (inclusive), following the SD73 school calendar, with opportunity to work casual front line during the summer.

Pay: $21.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 30.0 per week
