We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and food preparation, with a keen interest in coffee and beverage crafting. As a Barista, you will create an inviting atmosphere for our customers while delivering high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to manage time effectively and maintain a clean workspace will be essential to your success in this role.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the cash register, including handling cash transactions and utilizing the POS system (Micros POS experience is a plus).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring all items meet quality standards before serving to customers.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; communicate needs to management as necessary.
- Uphold health and safety regulations by following proper food handling procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred.
- Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently while maintaining quality service.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with cashiering duties and operating POS systems (Micros POS experience is advantageous).
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
