Join the Hampshire County Sheriff’s Office as a House Mentor focusing on harm reduction principles in Northampton, Massachusetts. Guide and support residents in a transitional sober housing setting every day. This role involves managing operations at the Rocky Hill Re-Entry Collaborative while overseeing residents' housing-related issues.
You will act as a liaison between residents and collaborating services, ensuring a supportive environment for re-entering community members. A strong commitment to working with diverse populations and understanding substance use disorder is a must. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations at the housing facility
- Address resident inquiries about accommodations and policies
- Prepare reports for supervisory staff as needed
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings regularly
- Supervise external agencies collaborating with the project Requirements:
- 2-year degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in criminal justice settings
- Understanding of harm reduction principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation Support vulnerable communities through mentorship and guidance in a team-oriented housing initiative in Northampton.
