Pocket Anchor

Canada

Company Description

Pocket Anchor is an AI-native, privacy-first health and safety platform built for people navigating an increasingly mobile world.

We believe support should be available when you need it—without requiring you to give up your privacy.

Pocket Anchor brings together private health information, mental well-being tools, healthcare resources, emergency support, trusted contacts, and intelligent guidance in one portable digital sanctuary. Designed for travelers, digital nomads, remote workers, and people navigating unfamiliar environments, Anchor helps users find information, communicate across barriers, and stay prepared when something goes wrong.

Our approach is intentionally low-barrier: private by design, accessible across borders, and built to support people even when they are not ready to ask for help.

We are an early-stage, mission-driven startup building at the intersection of AI, health, safety, privacy, and global mobility.

Role Description

Community & Partnerships Lead

As Community & Partnerships Lead, you will help build the human network around Pocket Anchor.

This is an early-stage role for someone who understands that community is more than social media. You will help us identify the people, organizations, creators, communities, and partners who can help make Pocket Anchor a trusted resource for people around the world.

You will develop and execute community and partnership strategies across mental well-being, healthcare accessibility, travel, digital nomadism, remote work, safety, and related spaces.

Your responsibilities will include

Building and nurturing Pocket Anchor’s early community of users, advocates, creators, and mission-aligned organizations.

Identifying and developing partnerships with mental health organizations, healthcare providers, NGOs, travel organizations, universities, remote-work communities, creators, and other relevant partners.

Leading outreach, relationship development, partnership proposals, and collaborative initiatives.

Building creator and ambassador programs that introduce Pocket Anchor to relevant communities.

Developing community campaigns, virtual events, educational initiatives, and partnership activations.

Listening closely to users and communities and translating feedback into actionable product and growth insights.

Managing and growing Pocket Anchor’s community presence across relevant digital channels.

Establishing thoughtful community guidelines that promote respect, privacy, safety, and psychological safety.

Representing Pocket Anchor at relevant events, conferences, online communities, and industry networks.

Working closely with the founder, product, marketing, and content functions to turn community insights into product and growth opportunities.

Tracking meaningful community and partnership metrics and continuously improving our approach.

Because we are an early-stage company, you will have significant ownership. You won’t simply execute an existing community playbook—you will help build the playbook from the ground up.

What We’re Looking For

Demonstrated experience building communities, partnerships, programs, or audiences from the ground up.

Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to turn an initial conversation into a meaningful long-term partnership.

Experience with outreach, partnership development, collaboration, co-marketing, or creator programs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a thoughtful and empathetic approach to sensitive topics.

Solid understanding of social platforms, online communities, and digital communication.

Ability to identify opportunities, take initiative, and turn ideas into measurable programs.

Comfortable working independently in an early-stage startup where priorities can evolve quickly.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships and initiatives simultaneously.

Genuine interest in at least one or more of the areas Pocket Anchor operates in: mental well-being, healthcare accessibility, travel, digital nomadism, remote work, privacy, or personal safety.

A strong sense of responsibility when communicating about mental health, crisis situations, healthcare, and personal information.

You might be a great fit if…

You’ve built a community from zero, organized partnerships that actually created value, grown an audience around a mission, or spent years connecting people and organizations around a cause you care about.

You don’t need to have worked in healthcare or mental health before. Curiosity, empathy, initiative, and the ability to build genuine relationships matter more to us than having the perfect résumé.

Experience at a startup, nonprofit, health-tech company, travel company, creator platform, community organization, or other mission-driven environment is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is welcome, but not required.

What You’ll Get A chance to become one of the first members of Pocket Anchor’s core team.

Significant ownership over our community and partnership strategy.

The opportunity to help shape an emerging product at the intersection of AI, privacy, health, safety, and global mobility.

A fully remote environment with an internationally oriented team.

The opportunity to work directly with the founder and influence product, brand, and go-to-market decisions.

- The chance to build something designed to make support more accessible for people wherever they are in the world.

This is not a traditional community manager role.

We’re looking for someone who wants to build the community, build the partnerships, and build the network around Pocket Anchor from the ground up.
