Become a Community Support Worker with the Fort St. John Association for Community Living in a temporary role. Support individuals with developmental disabilities to thrive through personalized service and community involvement.
In this position under the Supported-Independent Living Program, you will play an essential role in organizing support aligned with individuals' preferences. You will focus on cultivating self-determination and community safety skills, aiding in the enhancement of residents' quality of life while ensuring everyone feels included. Key Responsibilities:
- Organize individualized service hours for clients
- Assist in building self-determination and safety skills
- Promote health, choice, and skill-building activities
- Encourage participation in community events
- Create inclusive experiences for all clients
Requirements:
- Hold a Class 5 Driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Must pass a criminal record check
- Solid communication and problem-solving capabilities
- Flexibility in adjusting service times
- Initiative and leadership qualities
