Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety protocols
- Serve food promptly and courteously to guests or team members in a timely manner
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
- Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple orders and tasks
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail when handling food and maintaining cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude in a team environment
- Basic understanding of serving procedures and customer service principles
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one upon hire is advantageous
