Description

This role requires a energetic and highly organized Coordinator, Social Media, who will support the day-to-day execution of social content across multiple platforms, including publishing, community management, content coordination and performance reporting. The ideal candidate is digitally savvy, detail-oriented and highly adaptable, with a strong understanding of social platforms, brand voice and audience engagement. They bring a proactive, collaborative approach and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities and content needs can shift quickly.
Contract Type: This opportunity is structured as an independent consultant engagement, providing contingent resource support throughout the client’s 2026–2027 season.
Compensation: The expected base compensation for this engagement is $26.00 CAD hourly.
Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in social media, digital marketing,
communications or client-focused environments; agency and/or consumer brand experience an asset.
- Ability to work onsite frequently, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Experience supporting social content and campaigns across multiple platforms, including planning, publishing, monitoring and reporting.
- Working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, and X, and other social media platforms as required.
- Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, emerging formats and audience behaviours.
- Proven ability to manage content calendars, approvals, timelines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Knowledge of hockey and basketball considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong eye for brand voice, tone, accuracy and detail.
- Highly adaptable, proactive and collaborative, with strong client-service skills and the ability to work effectively across internal and external teams.
- Digitally savvy, with experience using social media management and reporting tools and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
