Transform lives as a Child and Youth Care Counsellor with Hull Services. This role provides vital support for youth experiencing mental health challenges in a structured environment. As a full-time Counsellor at Hull Services' Mountainside Program, you will engage with youth aged 9 to 13, implementing evidence-based treatment strategies.
Your role involves planning interventions, supervising daily activities, and collaborating with families to ensure comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety and nurture the developmental needs of children
- Communicate behavioral limits and enforce guidelines
- Supervise daily activities, providing therapeutic interventions
- Develop and facilitate individual and group recreational activities
- Promote advocacy for children's rights within the community
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care or related fields
- Experience in therapeutic campus-based care preferred
- Strong personal competence in relationship building
- Valid driver’s license and explicit police checks required
- Completion of First Aid and crisis intervention training is an asset
