Become a pivotal part of Oshawa's cultural landscape as the Cultural Development Coordinator, responsible for enhancing community arts initiatives and stakeholder relations. This role oversees public art and develops communication strategies for various cultural projects. Reporting directly to the Supervisor of Cultural Development, you will coordinate programs that support the Cultural Plan while engaging with diverse stakeholders.
This position requires four years of progressive experience in arts and culture, facilitating leadership roles, and ensuring solid community involvement through successful strategies and comprehensive grant management. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation of the Arts, Culture, and Heritage Plan
- Support the Cultural Leadership Council’s activities
- Manage the city’s Public Art Policy and Program
- Oversee communication tactics for cultural initiatives
- Assist in budget development and monitoring Requirements:
- Four-year degree in Cultural Studies or related field
- Four years of relevant experience in municipal settings
- Knowledge of cultural planning policies and best practices
- Skills in Project Management and Public Relations
