We are looking for reliable Independent Delivery Contractors to join our delivery partner network operating out of the Nanaimo hub. You will be responsible for sorting, loading, and executing last-mile package deliveries to residential and commercial locations across Vancouver Island, spanning from Campbell River in the north to Shawnigan Lake in the south.
As a commission-based contractor, your earning potential is tied directly to your efficiency, routing management, and total completed deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting & Loading: Retrieve sorted parcels from the Nanaimo station, organize package flow by delivery route, and safely load your vehicle.
- Route Execution: Navigate routes efficiently across assigned territories (ranging from Campbell River to Shawnigan Lake) using handheld scanning/GPS technology.
- Package Delivery: Deliver parcels directly to doorsteps, secure designated drop sites, or customer hands in compliance with delivery instructions.
- Digital Tracking:
Scan packages at pickup, transit, and delivery stages to capture accurate electronic Proof of Delivery (photos, signatures, timestamp logs).
- Customer Interface: Maintain qualified, polite interactions with residents and business owners along your route.
Compensation & Working Conditions
- Pay Structure: Commission per successfully delivered parcel.
Volume Potential: Earning capacity depends on route density, driver speed, and daily package capacity.
Licensing & Record: Valid BC Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a criminal background check.
