Desktop Support / End User Computing (EUC) Specialist
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Calgary, AB (5 Days Onsite)
Introduction
We are seeking an experienced professional to support a 6-month project at a client site. The successful candidate will provide hands-on onsite technology support for an environment of approximately 300–400 laptops, ensuring end users are properly set up and supported throughout the project.
This role requires strong desktop/laptop support experience, client technologies, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work directly with users in a fast-paced onsite environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in Desktop Support, Deskside Support, End User Computing (EUC), or IT Support.
- Hands-on experience supporting medium-to-large enterprise laptop environments.
- Strong experience with Windows laptops and client technologies.
- Hands-on experience supporting client teams.
- Experience with laptop deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and user setup.
- Robust understanding of hardware, software, networking, VPN, Wi-Fi, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting users in an enterprise environment.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Must be comfortable working 100% onsite at the client location for the duration of the project.
- Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support for approximately 300–400 laptops and end users.
- Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and support Windows laptops and related end-user devices.
- Support laptop setup, imaging, configuration, software installation, and user onboarding.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues.
- Provide hands-on support for client teams, including setup, configuration, connectivity, audio/video, and general user issues.
- Support client 365 applications and Windows desktop environments.
- Troubleshoot VPN, Wi-Fi, network connectivity, peripherals, and authentication issues.
- Assist with device deployment, replacement, migration, and refresh activities.
- Track and manage devices and related IT assets throughout the project.
- Document incidents, resolutions, configurations, and deployment activities.
- Escalate complex infrastructure or network issues to the appropriate technical teams.
