Director, AI Product Ops — TAAP Product We are seeking an exceptional, transformative Director of AI Product Ops to lead the operational and cultural evolution of Thomson Reuters’ Tax, Audit, Accounting & Practice (TAAP) product organization. In this exciting prospect as Director, AI Product Ops , you will evolve our traditional program and operations function into a lean, AI-first Product Ops office.

Your mission is two-fold: drive operational excellence across our entire software portfolio with “near-zero-overhead,” and spearhead our AI maturity program, moving our teams from basic personal productivity to advanced, agent-driven workflows. You will serve as a critical catalyst for product innovation and foster faster, more effective ways of working across the team. By automating coordination and program management tasks, you will not only liberate our product teams from administrative overhead, but enable them to focus on deep customer discovery, modern product craft, and high‑velocity execution—ultimately delivering superior customer experiences, higher‑quality products, and stronger commercial value for Thomson Reuters.You will lead a small, senior team of product ops experts and carry a TAAP‑wide change‑management mandate.

The Core

Portfolio (“Bedrock”): Our market‑leading, established suite of tax and accounting products. AI-First Product Operations Architect and run product operations where AI agents automate traditional coordination tasks—such as status reporting, dependency tracking, and cross‑functional communications—allowing humans to focus on product judgment and execution. Ensure that all operational processes and visibility tools integrate seamlessly with our suite of modern agile and AI tools (e.g., Partner on Migrations: Collaborate with Customer Success to integrate large‑scale customer migrations smoothly into the product‑ops framework without interrupting core product execution.

AI Transformation across TAAP Drive the AI‑Maturity Roadmap: Lead TAAP’s evolution from Level 1 AI usage (individual productivity tools) to Level 2 (shared team infrastructure: e.g., shared prompts, MCP integrations, shared skills) and toward Level 3 (agents acting on systems of record) and beyond.

Enable Modern PM Ways of Working: Use the AI‑maturity transformation as the vehicle to elevate the PM craft. Lead enablement of PMs on using modern AI tools (e.g., Cursor, v0, Claude Code) and AI‑first product development.

Build and Lead a High Impact Team: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high‑performing, lean team of senior program‑ops experts, establishing a strong operational cadence and a high bar for talent & execution.

Drive the Transformation Drumbeat & Communications : In close partnership with the Head of TAAP Product and the TAAP Product Leadership Team, design and lead a comprehensive change‑management communications strategy. Establish a regular, engaging organizational ‘drumbeat’ to share wins, spotlight successful AI‑enabled behaviors, reinforce new ways of working, and maintain high transformation momentum across the division. AI‑Native: You have successfully driven a real organization or department up the AI maturity curve (L1 to L2/L3).

You think in terms of systemic capability and shipped outcomes, and you are highly fluent in modern AI tooling (agents, prompt engineering, MCP, evals, and prototyping).

Product‑Ops & SDLC Advocate: You value lean, automated systems and shared team infrastructure over traditional, heavy PMO ceremony. You understand modern software development lifecycles (SDLC) and how to design operational systems that help modern PMs, Engineers, and Designers build software faster.

Transformational Change Leader:



You are an inspiring evangelist who drives cultural and behavioral shifts by building excitement, capturing buy‑in, and bringing teams along on the journey. Hands‑on AI Fluency: You are a daily, active user of agentsand LLMs. You possess intuitive, practical knowledge of how generative AI tools can optimize a product team’s day‑to‑day work. 10+ years of experiencein program management, product operations, or technical operations leadership at scale. ~ Proven experience implementing modern agile SDLC structuresand automating project‑tracking workflows. ~ Experience in regulated or professional software industries (e.g., tax, legal, audit, finance, or compliance) where data security, accuracy, and AI governance are critical is a strong plus. ~ Demonstrated track record of leading change‑management and communication initiatives, upskilling teams, and inspiring cultural transformations to adopt modern, technical capabilities. ~ Demonstrated track record of leading change management initiatives, upskilling teams, and transitioning legacy roles into modern, technical capabilities. ~ Bachelor’s degreein Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: For Ontario, Canada, the base compensation range for this role is $172,000 CAD - $222,000 CAD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
