Lead and innovate fundraising strategies as the Director of Advancement at University College, University of Toronto. Focus on major gifts, alumni relations, and stakeholder engagement in a thriving academic environment. The Director of Advancement plays a vital role in University College’s fundraising strategy, reporting to both the Principal and Senior Director.
This senior position requires at least seven years of experience, including success in major gifts and alumni communications. The director will oversee a team to build donor relationships, execute campaigns, and ensure proper stewardship following contributions. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement major gift and annual campaigns
- Cultivate relationships with donors over $100,000
- Lead alumni engagement through events and volunteerism
- Mentor and guide staff and volunteers in fundraising
- Train team members in donor cultivation and solicitation Requirements:
- Minimum seven years in senior advancement roles
- Proven experience in major gift fundraising
- Solid leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
