Rightway Recruitment is working on behalf of a growing electrical contractor that is continuing to expand its footprint across British Columbia, including recent growth into the Vancouver Island market. The business has built a strong reputation delivering commercial, institutional, and large-scale electrical construction projects while maintaining a collaborative and team-oriented culture.

Due to continued project growth in Victoria, they are now looking to add a Project Coordinator to support ongoing electrical construction operations. Working closely alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, field teams, suppliers, and clients, this role will play a key part in coordinating projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support Project Managers and Site Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination activities
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documentation with a critical eye for discrepancies or coordination issues
- Assist with material procurement including lighting, switchgear, commodities, and project-related equipment
- Coordinate and track shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, permits, inspections, and closeout documentation
- Assist with project scheduling and ensure materials and equipment arrive on site according to project timelines
- Monitor backorders and communicate scheduling impacts or discrepancies to the project team




- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, field staff, clients, and general contractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with change orders, project reporting, billings, WIP tracking, and cost-to-complete updates
- Support internal coordination between operations, accounting, HR, and project teams
- Attend project meetings, take meeting minutes, and assist with follow-up items
- Help identify design issues, material concerns, or project coordination conflicts as projects progress
- Maintain organized project documentation and tracking systems

Project Scope:

- Commercial and institutional electrical construction projects across Vancouver Island
- Exposure to field operations, office coordination, procurement, and project administration
- Involvement from preconstruction through project closeout
- Coordination alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams
- Opportunity to support a growing Vancouver Island operation

What You Bring:

- 3-5 years of construction coordination, project administration, or related experience
- Previous exposure to commercial electrical construction environments is strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and construction specifications




- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
- Understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project coordination workflows
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the business
- Professionalism, integrity, and robust attention to detail
- Electrical Estimating (Asset)

Compensation & Benefits:
