We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Employment and Skills Development Manager to lead and support employment and skills development programs that help individuals build skills, access opportunities, and move toward meaningful employment.

Our work is guided by a client-driven, strength-based, gender-based, and trauma-informed approach.

JOB SUMMARY

Title: Employment & Skills Development Programs Manager

Position Type: Full time, 6-month contract, ending March 31, 2027, with the possibility of renewal.

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week – must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Associate Director

Qualifications, Experience & Skills: University or College degree or relevant education/training in Employability development, and/or group facilitation; fluent in English and French- written and spoken preferred; experience working in the field; demonstrated understanding of women’s and community issues in the context of a diverse community; competence in computer applications, Microsoft Office Suites, and web-based materials, databases and social media is essential.

Position Duties and Responsibilities: Employee performs duties within established vision, mission, policy guidelines, goals and objectives, and has primary responsibility for delivery of various areas of work.

Agency

- Represent the YWCA by providing initial contact with visitors, guests, members and the community
- Transfer information between staff,



volunteers and public to ensure smooth running of operations
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and workshops
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the strategic direction of YWCA Moncton
- Advance the Mission of YWCA Moncton
- Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of work environment, including office, and storage room/unit

Human Resources

- Supervise project and any other support staff, students and/or volunteers related to the employment services portfolio.
- Support the team by offering problem solving, crisis management, and/or debriefing opportunities to staff, when needed.
- Provide coaching around reaching program objectives and outcomes.
- Review and submit time sheets for approval to the Human Resource Manager.
- Ensure that staff and students have required certifications and/or training.
- Assist staff in delineating their work plans and conduct quarterly reviews.
- Establish one-on-one check-ins, team meetings and team days.

Program Delivery/Supervision

- Oversee implementation of Employment Programs activities and ensure that services are delivered on time, on budget and in compliance with YWCA Moncton regulations.
- Identify and develop resources for the programs and its participants.
- Facilitate and work closely with team members to ensure that short-term and long-term project objectives and program outcomes are met, as delineated in funder’s agreements.
- Work with the Employment Programs team staff to develop work-plans and follow up with team members regularly to ensure that activities are on track.
- Reviewing narrative and financial reporting as well as MOU data.
- Take part in ongoing capacity assessments of Employment Programs.
- Respond to crisis by implementing the best strategy.




- Oversee the creation and distribution of promotional materials (i.e. Newsletters, Calendars, Posters, etc.) for employment services.
- Maintain communication with community partners, government agencies, and funders.
- Ensure all program forms and documents, including evaluations, are completed, signed, and filed, and that organized filing systems (hard and electronic copies) is maintained.
- Adapt employment services to continue to meet the needs of the community.

Data Collection and Reporting

- Complete employment services monthly statistical reports.
- Support the compilation of statistics and development of the agencies report for the Annual General Meeting.
- Complete funding reports for employment services work/projects, in accordance with funder’s requirements.

Additional Duties

- Represent YWCA Moncton through participation in agency-related outreach sessions, initiatives, events, and committees.
- Participate in research, planning, and writing of grant applications for funding.
- All employees are to perform other duties as assigned that may, or may not, be directly related to their current position of employment

Special Condition of Employment: Must be able to successfully completed vulnerable sector/Social development check; must have own transportation or access to transportation.
