- Lead CBC Saskatchewan’s news operation across Saskatoon and Regina - Oversee daily, enterprise and investigative news gathering, digital and social publishing, and radio and television news programming - Work alongside the executive producer of programming to steer journalism and storytelling across video, digital and audio platforms - Oversee daily news coverage decisions and provide journalistic policy and judgment leadership - Ensure content adheres to CBC’s Journalistic Standards and Practices and principles of accuracy, fairness, balance, impartiality and integrity - Provide editorial oversight so content is original, relevant and impactful and elevates diverse voices and perspectives - Provide guidance on legal risk management - Develop creative storytelling approaches across platforms - Monitor audience and industry trends and develop future opportunities - Coordinate and oversee live and breaking-news specials - Oversee staffing and scheduling decisions - Identify and develop emerging talent and support recruitment of candidates from underrepresented groups - Mentor staff and develop people, skills and careers Requirements - Demonstrated experience leading teams in a fast-paced daily multi-platform news environment - Excellent journalistic and critical thinking skills, including deep knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to journalism - Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills - Proven ability to execute on a strategic vision - Ability to exercise quick editorial judgment and long-term planning - Ability to motivate and coach teams, encourage creativity and embrace experimentation - Demonstrated talent recognition,
