Field Research Assistant Position, Bayer Crop Science
Responsibilities will include
- Working closely with Functional Compliance Lead
- Actively participate in the operation of an extensive field testing program
- Working outdoors, and working flexible hours when required
- Involved in daily monitoring of fields and research plots for unwanted volunteer species
- Working with external companies to ensure protocol standards are met
- Take comprehensive field notes as directed
Required Skills
- BS. degree or diploma in agricultural science or related field
- Excellent attention to details
- Very good organizational skills
- Full MB provincial drivers license (Class 5)
- Positive communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours depending on the season
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good computer skills (working knowledge of Excel, Word and any database program)
- Field research experience
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

- Open due to growth on the team and new field trials
- Top 3 Skills: Some FIELD research, excellent attention to details and undergrad completed.
- Daily Duties: Depending on the candidate, this role can be adjusted. The current need is to have someone be responsible for daily monitoring of fields and research plots for unwanted volunteer species, as well as communication with external cooperators to ensure success of field trials. Tasks will vary by time of year.
- This is a seasonal role but could be extended based on business needs and performance.
