Job Title: FileMaker Developer (Contract Role)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated FileMaker Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing custom applications in FileMaker Pro. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and create tailored solutions that enhance productivity and workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain custom FileMaker Pro applications to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical solutions.
- Optimize and troubleshoot existing FileMaker applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement and manage FileMaker scripts, layouts, reports, and data integrations.
- Perform regular data analysis and system maintenance, including debugging and performance tuning.
- Ensure data integrity and security across all FileMaker applications.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest FileMaker technologies and best practices.

Requirements:





- Proven experience as a FileMaker Developer (5+ years preferred).
- Strong expertise in FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Server, and FileMaker Go.
- Proficiency in FileMaker Scripting, Custom Functions, and Relationship Graph.
- Experience with integration of FileMaker with third-party APIs and databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL).
- Knowledge of data modeling, relational database design, and security protocols.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and file-sharing solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a rapid-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with FileMaker WebDirect and Custom Web Publishing.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, or XML is a plus.
- Prior experience in healthcare, finance, or education sectors.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
