Financial Controller

Yoke Group Inc. is a vertically integrated real estate development and property management company based in Hamilton, Ontario.

We are hiring a Controller to lead the finance function, reporting directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

- Manage sources and uses tracking across projects and the portfolio
- Own accounts payable, including a forward payment calendar
- Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
- Complete monthly close across multiple corporate entities, including intercompany
- Prepare year-end working papers for the external accountant across all entities
- Prepare lender reporting packages and support financing files
- Manage and direct the bookkeeping staff
- Track project costs on active construction and tenant improvements

Qualifications

- 5+ years in a Controller or senior accounting role
- Multi-entity accounting experience is required
- Real estate, property management,



or construction industry experience preferred
- Experience building and managing an AP calendar and cash flow forecast
- Experience preparing year-end files for an external accountant
- Experience managing at least one direct report
- Buildium or comparable property management software experience an asset
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred

Compensation: $95,000 to $115,000, based on experience. Pay: $95,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
