Mayfair Glass is looking for a Window & Door Finisher / Quality Control person to join our team.
This is a bit of a hybrid position. Your main responsibility will be completing finishing work on window and door projects, while also helping inspect other completed projects to make sure they meet Mayfair Glass quality standards before they are considered complete.
We’re looking for someone who has a strong eye for detail, takes pride in their work, and isn't afraid to point out something that needs to be fixed.
What You'll Do
- Complete finishing work on window and door installations
- Install interior and exterior trim
- Caulk and seal windows and doors
- Fill nail holes and complete touch-ups
- Adjust windows, doors, hardware, and screens
- Complete deficiencies and service items
- Complete minor drywall, trim, and finishing repairs when required
- Clean work areas and make sure projects are properly finished
- Perform thorough quality-control inspections on other window and door projects
- Identify deficiencies before the project is considered complete
- Make sure installation quality meets Mayfair Glass standards
- Take completion and inspection photos
- Document deficiencies and communicate them clearly to the team
- Work with installers and Project Managers to make sure deficiencies are corrected
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Keep tools, vehicle, and materials organized
- Help make sure every project is 100% complete and done right
What We're Looking For
- Construction, renovation, carpentry, or finishing experience
- Window and door experience is a strong asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Good understanding of quality workmanship
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Able to work independently
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable and organized
- Comfortable holding others accountable to quality standards
- Positive communication with customers and coworkers
- Valid driver's licence
