Plan and direct emergency and non-emergency activities of the assigned emergency response team
Ensure assigned duties are understood, properly instructed, trained, and performed safely
Follow and promote health and safety procedures and participate in inspections, audits, and site-specific safety programs
Report hazards, incidents, injuries, and illnesses to supervisors
Follow International SOS Fire & Rescue policies
Set priorities, assign tasks, and manage workflows for emergency response teams and auxiliary units
Ensure team members follow client policies on behavior, dress, and safety
Lead and coordinate responses to fires, spills, rope/confined-space rescues, and medical emergencies
Develop site-specific emergency and tactical response plans
Inspect, maintain, and track fire protection systems, life safety equipment, and emergency supplies
Maintain detailed usage and inventory records
Create and deliver fire, rescue, and medical procedure training
Mentor current hires and lead ongoing team education
Collaborate with site operations on hot work, confined-space entry, and working-at-heights activities
Lead assigned rescue teams during emergency operations
Provide Advanced Life Support when needed and ... medical or rescue issues
Coordinate with external agencies during joint emergency operations
Identify emergency-scene risks and protect team members and others on site
Advise the client or Authority Having Jurisdiction on rescue operations and safety strategies
Monitor incidents, adjust plans, and ensure objectives are met
Lead post-incident debriefings and participate in investigations
Notify the International SOS Response Center and Medical Director when necessary
Requirements
Experience in leadership role
Current ITLS certification
Current ACLS certification
NFPA 1001 Level II
NFPA 472 or 1072 Hazamat Operataions Level
NFPA 1002 Driver/Operator
NFPA 1006 High Angle Rope Rescue Technician
NFPA 1006 Confined Space Rescue Technician
NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor Level 1 or 2
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
ICS 100, 200
H2S Alive
Preference for experience in an industrial setting
High level of knowledge and ability to interpret relevant medical and operational guidelines, protocols, policies and procedures
Able to commute within Redwater, AB area
Able to work day/night shifts for a 4 days or 5 days rotation
