About Us:
The Patch Brewery is all about good beer, good atmosphere, and great service! As a high-traffic brewery, we rely on a strong leadership team to keep everything running smoothly from open to close. We're looking for Floor Managers who are reliable, hands-on, and thrive in a fast-paced environment—someone who can lead by example and ensure the vibes remain high for staff and guests alike.
Role Summary:
The Floor Manager is a key member of the Taproom Leadership Team and is responsible for supporting the consistent execution of our service, operational, and team standards.
Unlike a traditional “Shift Leader” position, this role extends beyond opening, closing, or overseeing an assigned shift. Floor Managers are expected to take ownership of the guest experience, actively coach and support employees, identify and resolve operational concerns, and contribute to the overall success of the Brewery.
The Floor Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Taproom and acts as the primary leadership presence for employees and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Floor Manager is the primary person responsible for the guest and employee experience during that period.
- The Floor Manager should be visible and engaged in the operation.
- Floor Managers are expected to think beyond the shift they are currently working. As members of the Hospitality Leadership Team, they share responsibility for maintaining standards across the operation.
- Identifying recurring problems
- Communicating effectively with other leaders
- Following through on assigned responsibilities
- Contributes ideas for improvement, and supporting decisions made by the management team.
- Outgoing and Friendly
What Success Looks Like A successful Floor Manager leaves the operation better than they found it. Guests feel welcomed and cared for. Employees know what is expected of them. Problems are addressed instead of passed along. The Taproom is clean, organized, and operating efficiently. Communication between leadership shifts is consistent, and management can trust that standards will be upheld whether or not a senior manager is physically present.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a food service, hospitality, or similar environment
- Leadership experience preferred, preferably in a quick-paced environment
- Solid communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using POS and inventory management systems
- Spoken English
- Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented—someone the team can count on
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to move items 20-50lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours
- Ability to walk long distances on uneven terrain and work in varied weather conditions.
Bonus Points For:
- Knowledge of craft beer styles or brewery operations
- Experience with POS system GoTab
- Familiarity with inventory tracking or closing reports
Perks:
- Competitive hourly wage + pooled tips
- Benefits for full-time employees
- Employee discounts on beer, food and merch
- Fun, fast-paced, community minded team
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
