Job Title : Carpenter Foreman

Location : Langford/Victoria

Responsibilities

Maintain company safety guidelines and practices

Good understanding of construction schedules and the ability to implement changes to accommodate work schedule accordingly

Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints and convey this information to others

Plan, implement and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to report project status to superintendent daily

Good understanding of safety policies and secure work while ensuring that all safety rules are being followed at all times

Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example





Provide proper guidance and learning opportunities for laborers and apprentices

Efficiently delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and sub-trades

Develop and oversee quality standards on all sites

Qualifications

Completed high school or equivalent, OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Open minded, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively

3rd or 4th level Journeyman Carpenter

Possess strong leadership skills with effective participation in team environment

Has excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

5 years of related construction experience
