We are seeking passionate and dedicated French teachers to support students with dyslexia in developing their conversational language skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by tailoring innovative teaching methods to meet the unique needs of learners facing reading and writing challenges. As a French teacher in this specialized setting, you will foster a positive, encouraging environment that promotes confidence and language mastery.
The methodology used is phonetic. You are responsible to make the students love French by keeping the sessions fun and engaging.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging, personalized French lessons tailored to students with dyslexia, utilizing multisensory teaching techniques and phonetic methodology.
- Assess individual student needs and adapt instructional strategies accordingly to maximize learning outcomes.
- Provide ongoing support and encouragement to build students’ confidence in speaking and comprehension of French.
- Collaborate with other educators (two instructors per session)
- Maintain detailed records of student progress,
lesson plans, and instructional adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
- Foster a nurturing classroom setting that promotes patience, motivation, and a love for learning languages.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children or students with learning differences, especially dyslexia.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching French at various levels, with strong writing skills and fluency in the language.
- Familiarity with phonetic teaching methods and accommodations for students with reading difficulties.
- Experience working in classroom settings or tutoring environments that support diverse learning styles.
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching roles that involve adapting content for students with special educational needs is highly valued.
