Scholars is delighted to be working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Essex to recruit a talented Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join their team from January 2026. This full-time, permanent position is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated linguist to make a real impact within a supportive and team-oriented department. While the timetable will include some Spanish, the focus of this role is predominantly French, so confidence and enthusiasm in teaching French are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing - Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring French (and some Spanish)



lessons across KS3-KS5

- Foster a love of languages and an appreciation for global cultures
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the MFL department
- Support students in building confidence, curiosity, and communication skills
- Work collaboratively with a team of passionate and experienced colleagues What We’re Looking For - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Strong subject knowledge in French (with some ability to teach Spanish)
- Proven success teaching languages across Key Stages 3-5
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A positive, committed teacher who inspires students to achieve their best
