Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Contract Women Advocate to champion women's rights, promote gender equality, and provide essential support to women in our community. This vital role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by empowering women, advocating for their needs, and fostering a safe and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will bring energy, compassion, and a proactive approach to addressing issues faced by women from diverse backgrounds.

Duties

- Act as a primary point of contact for women seeking support, guidance, or legal assistance related to gender-based issues
- Conduct outreach programs to raise awareness about women's rights, safety, and available resources within the community
- Provide counseling and emotional support to women experiencing domestic violence, discrimination, or other challenges
- Collaborate with local organizations, government agencies, and service providers to facilitate access to healthcare, legal aid, and social services
- Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions on topics such as women's empowerment, rights awareness, and self-defense techniques
- Maintain detailed records of casework, referrals made,



and follow-up actions taken to ensure comprehensive support
- Advocate for policy changes and community initiatives that promote gender equality and protect women's rights

Qualifications

- Proven experience working with women or in advocacy roles focused on gender issues
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen empathetically and communicate effectively
- Experience working with children is considered an asset, especially when addressing issues involving young girls or family dynamics
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
- Knowledge of local laws related to women's rights and safety measures
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, gender studies, law, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Energetic attitude with a proactive mindset dedicated to community service

Pay: From $27.35 per hour
