Enhance outdoor recreation in Alberta's Crown lands as the District Recreation Engagement Officer based in Hinton. This full time temporary position centers on public engagement and educational outreach. As you engage with the community, you'll develop and deliver programs that promote safe and responsible recreation.

Alongside staff management, your field activities will involve documentation and compliance work. Building partnerships with user groups and stakeholders will be essential in ensuring the effectiveness of recreational initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement district-level engagement programs
- Recruit, train, and oversee seasonal recreation officers
- Provide education on land use regulations and safety
- Patrol recreation sites to promote compliance
- Manage signage and infrastructure to support recreation

Requirements:

- Diploma in outdoor recreation, forestry, or related
- 3 years of outdoor experience needed
- Class 5 Driver’s License essential
- Familiarity with land regulations advantageous
- Capable of working alone in diverse weather conditions
