Role Summary/Purpose: Experienced Network Engineer responsible for implementing, troubleshooting and supporting an enterprise network.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience working with Cisco network gear managing an enterprise level LAN
- Proficient in Layer 3 protocols, i.e. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
- Expert understanding of Layer 2 protocols: STP, Port-Channels, & Vlans
- Wireless network experience (installing and maintaining an enterprise WLAN with Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers)
- CCNP Routing and Switching required
Desired qualifications / characteristics:
- Multicast & QoS experience
- MPLS, IPsec Tunnel experience
- Experience with VSS, including installation and support
- Experienced with troubleshooting various Layer1 to Layer3 protocols; understands the OSI model
- ASA (firewall) experience, ACLs, Object-Groups, NAT
- Working knowledge of Juniper SRX650s
- Knowledge of DHCP and DNS
- Monitoring and optimizing network performance experience
- Work with telecom providers to report, troubleshoot, and resolve Internet related issues
- Willingness to provide on-call support
- Experience with Call Manager and installing Cisco IP phones
- Ability to build / maintain solid relationships, effectively partner with peers, and possess excellent verbal / written communication skills
- Experience working in a complex, global environment
- Ability to clearly articulate creative ideas to leaders
- Ability to hit tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to reason through complex situations with strength in identifying and mitigating risks
Education
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or 5-10 years of experience supporting large enterprise network infrastructure
