We are seeking an experienced GCP & BigQuery Developer with a strong background in SQL to join our team in Richardson, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-6 years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with BigQuery and data management, and be proficient in developing complex SQL queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain BigQuery datasets, data models, and ETL pipelines.
- Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and governance across all GCP-related projects.
- Automate data workflows and perform ad-hoc data analysis using SQL and other GCP tools.
- Participate in troubleshooting and performance tuning of BigQuery and SQL-related issues.
Qualifications:
- 5-6 years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with BigQuery.
- Strong expertise in SQL: ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL pipelines, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Python or other programming languages for automation and scripting.
- Solid understanding of cloud-based architecture and best practices in cloud storage, data processing, and management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, etc.
- Knowledge of DataOps practices.
- Certifications in Google Cloud or BigQuery.
