Job Title: GCP Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Infosys is seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in advancing Infosys's multi-cloud strategy, ensuring enterprise-grade reliability, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and deploy GCP infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.

- Manage and optimize core GCP services including IAM, VPC, GKE, DNS, firewall, and load balancing.

- Automate provisioning workflows while ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application deployment, scalability, and performance optimization.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues while improving efficiency and cost optimization.

- Provide architectural guidance and hands-on support for platform-level services.





- Assist in the design of scalable networking solutions, focusing on high availability, redundancy, and failover.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in GCP infrastructure engineering.

- Google Cloud Professional Certification (e.g., Architect, DevOps Engineer).

- Proficiency with Terraform, Python/Bash scripting, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Cloud Build).

- Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security practices.

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, GKE, and container orchestration.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.

- Knowledge of APIGX, Anthos, and service mesh technologies.

- Robust communication and documentation skills.

- Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to long-term platform strategy
