A technical architect to assist the Information Technology and Operations branch in the successful implementation of technologies that will support critical business objectives. The resource will be available for supporting Application Modernization initiatives developing new applications and transforming applications for deployment in an Openshift Containerization Platform. The candidate will also be responsible for the design and delivery of cloud infrastructure on multiple cloud platforms.

Duties
Position is required to fill a Technical Architecture role working with contemporary architectures and design practices. These skillsets currently do not exist in the Ministry of Health. The resource will have a strong background experience with Health Care and Health Care Agencies.
The resource will have experience delivering health related projects provisioned on modern Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, IBM).
The individual will have experience designing applications and designing cloud infrastructure to be deployed using the Alberta Health standard of RedHat Openshift on both private and public cloud.
The individual will be work with external vendors on behalf of the Ministry to ensure secure, reliable and continuously available applications and infrastructure are deployed in support of multiple projects.
Experience in Hybrid cloud would be an asset.
Experience in IBM hardware and software is required based on the Ministry of Health's current software stack.
