The Financial Planning Unit in the Ministry of Health is looking to fill two temporary contract Budget Analyst position within their team.
Reporting to the Manager, as a Budget Analyst, you will work in a small team responsible for collecting and analyzing financial data to produce ministry forecasts and budgets.
Highlights of Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Monitoring the Ministry budget and assisting with preparation quarterly forecasts.
Collaborating and working closely with program area clients at various levels to analyze, validate and explain spending trends against budget, develop the forecast and explain the variances.
Consolidating and analyzing large amounts of financial information and communicating to various stakeholders differently depending on the audience.
Maintaining and monitoring financial system coding and reports.
Reviewing contracts and grants for budget availability.
Preparing government Estimates, Committee of Supply Briefings, Annual Report and Quarterly Fiscal Updates.
Providing explicit and concise financial advice and guidance to client areas.
Responding to ad-hoc and urgent financial requests, and
