Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 7-8 Teacher to inspire and educate students in the middle school age group. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic and personal growth. The ideal candidate will bring energy, organization, and a strong commitment to student success, ensuring that each learner reaches their full potential through innovative teaching methods and effective communication.

Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for grades 7-8 in subjects such as Math, English, Science and other core areas.
- Foster an inclusive classroom workplace that encourages participation, curiosity, and respect among students.
- Assess student progress regularly through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Incorporate technology tools like Microsoft Office and other educational software to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to tailor instruction for students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional support.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively by implementing positive discipline strategies and promoting a safe space for learning.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum updates.

Requirements





- Proven experience working with children in a classroom setting, preferably with middle school students.
- Strong knowledge of subject matter including Math, English, middle school education principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize computer skills effectively, including Microsoft Office Suite and educational technology platforms.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments is a plus.
- Passion for teaching and nurturing young learners’ academic and social development.
- Writing skills necessary for creating lesson plans, reports, and student assessments.
