As we gear up for the months ahead, we’re looking to bring on experienced Grader Operators to help keep our clients’ sites clear and safe.

Job Summary The Grader Operator is responsible for operating motor graders to clear snow from large commercial lots, roadways, and industrial sites. Precision, safety, and the ability to work independently in extreme winter conditions are key to success in this role. This is a seasonal, on-call position, requiring availability during and after snow events — including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

- Operate a grader to plow and push snow on commercial roads, parking lots, and industrial sites
- Ensure proper snow placement and maintain clear access lanes, entrances, and fire routes
- Perform daily equipment inspections, including pre- and post-shift walkarounds to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Communicate with supervisors and ground crew for safe, coordinated operations
- Monitor surface conditions and adjust techniques as needed for different site requirements
- Adhere to all safety protocols and site-specific guidelines
- Perform heavy lifting as required, handling materials safely and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations while operating heavy equipment.

Experience

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating a grader or similar heavy equipment
- Ability to long hours, work flexible,



on-call hours during snowfalls and storms
- Reliable transportation to dispatch locations
- Strong awareness of surroundings and safe operation practices
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in challenging weather conditions
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, and strong knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating robust attention to detail.

Assets (Preferred but Not Required):

- Experience working on commercial sites
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Previous work with a snow removal contractor or municipality
