Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Greek School Teacher to inspire and educate students in the beautiful Greek language and culture. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Greek language, culture, and history tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Incorporate interactive activities, storytelling, and multimedia tools to enhance student engagement and comprehension
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and informal observations; provide constructive feedback
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those requiring special education accommodations
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student achievements using Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other digital tools
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming events
- Proofread and review educational materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and cultural relevance
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational or tutoring settings; classroom experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Greek language, including grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
- Background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to motivate students and collaborate with colleagues and parents
- Familiarity with LMS platforms for lesson planning, grading, and record keeping
- Ability to adapt lessons for students with special educational needs or learning differences
- Demonstrated proficiency in subjects such as math or other core academic areas is a plus
Position Greek Language Teacher — Full-Time
Duration: Sept 12, 2026-June 12, 2026
Class Schedule: Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Greek language lessons Teach Greek language skills in a supportive and positive classroom environment Encourage students to develop a robust interest in the Greek language and culture Assess student learning and provide appropriate feedback Collaborate with other teachers and school staff Participate in school activities, events, and programs as required Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
- Fluency in Greek and English Passion for Greek language, culture, and education Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students and as part of a team Previous teaching experience is an asset Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory
