Katatheon Farms Inc. is looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our greenhouse team in Langley, BC.
This is a full-time, permanent position working with bell peppers and strawberries. The role involves crop care, harvesting, grading, packing, cleaning, and other general greenhouse duties.
No previous experience is required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- Harvest bell peppers and strawberries
- Hand harvest vegetables
- Grade fruits and vegetables according to size, shape, colour, and quality
- Sort and pack fruits and vegetables
- Examine produce for quality and readiness for market
- Clean crops and greenhouse work areas
- Perform greenhouse cleaning and general crop maintenance
- Cut horticultural crops
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
Work Environment
This is a physically demanding greenhouse position. Candidates must be comfortable:
- Working in warm and humid conditions
- Working at heights
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Performing repetitive tasks
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Working in a fast-paced agricultural environment
Requirements
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- No previous experience required; training will be provided
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Available for early morning and day shifts
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
