Job Summary: We’re looking for an organized, detail-focused Groups Sales Lead Hand to join our growing team at Mount Washington Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Groups Manager, you’ll help keep group bookings running smoothly—from educational visits to corporate events—while supporting the team in creating seamless, memorable mountain experiences for every guest.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys bringing order to moving pieces, and approaches each task with care and accuracy. Availability to work select weekends from January through March is required to support our busiest season.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the Groups Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks, keeping communication open and the team connected.
- Build positive relationships with clients throughout every stage of their booking—by email, phone and in person during their visit.
- Stay closely connected with our Alpine and Nordic teams, including Snow School Dispatch, to help each group experience run smoothly.
- Keep the Group Tracker accurate and up to date, giving departments the information they need to plan for upcoming business volumes.
- Monitor booking inquiries and changes, providing friendly and helpful follow-up within 72 hours.
- Coordinate food and beverage requirements with the F&B; team.
- Work with the Rentals Manager to communicate group preset details and any activity changes.
- Provide hands-on sales and guest support during group visits, helping create a seamless experience from arrival to departure.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- A thoughtful eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel; experience with Axess is an asset.
- The ability to stay calm, focused and solutions-oriented in a busy, high-volume environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the confidence to make thoughtful decisions.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team.
- Previous sales experience is an asset.
Resort Conditions: Working at a Winter Resort means no two days are the same—and that's part of the adventure! You’ll get to experience a variety of unique locations, from cozy lodges to scenic mountain-top venues only accessible by chairlift. Be prepared to embrace the elements; whether it's bluebird skies, fresh snowfall, or the infamous coastal rain.
Expect to navigate multi-level lodges, steep stairways, and outdoor areas where the terrain can be sloped, snowy, or slippery, so good footwear is essential, indoors and out. Walking through large, icy parking lots is also part of the daily journey. If you love fresh air, stunning views, and a workplace that keeps you on your toes, this is the spot for you!
