We are currently hiring Hand Shovellers to join our dedicated snow removal team for the upcoming winter season.

Overview

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Hand Shovellers for the upcoming winter season. This position involves manual labor in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from walkways, stairs, entrances, and other designated areas on both commercial and residential properties. This role is physically demanding and requires working in cold, snowy conditions – often early in the morning, late at night, or during active snowfall.

Responsibilities

- Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy snow for extended periods (up to 40Lbs)
- Comfortable working outdoors in harsh winter conditions
- Reliable transportation to the work location
- Punctual, dependable, strong work ethic
- Ready to work with flexible hours 24/7 (including morning, overnight and weekends)
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials.

Skills

- Prior snow removal experience is an asset, but not required.




- Familiarity with the city of Winnipeg.
- Ability to use hand tools and equipment (i.e.: Shovels, backpack blowers and snowblowers)
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience working outdoors in cold environment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to achieving common goals.
- Class 5 Drivers License is an asset, but not a required.
