TheHaulage Coordinatoris responsible forconverting project, site, supplier, and broker requirements into a stable, execution-readyhaulageplan.
This role owns daily and weeklyhaulageplanning, material movement coordination, broker readiness, supplier alignment, and escalation discipline. TheHaulageCoordinator protects the live dispatch function by ensuring the plan is explicit before execution begins, exceptions are resolved quickly, and administrative closeout requirements are coordinated with theappropriate supportteams. How you will make an IMPACT - Build andmaintaindaily/weekly haulage plans for trucks, materials, suppliers,drivers, and brokers based onbusiness needs andcapacity.
- Ensure dispatchersreview site requirements for timing, location, volume, material type, equipment needs, priority, customer impact, and completeness before committing resources.
- Prioritize internal trucks, and third-party haulers based on operational urgency, schedule constraints, cost impact, customer commitments, and site readiness.
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers, brokers, field leaders, and customers by confirming availability, pickup windows, delivery requirements, broker readiness, hauler compliance, and service expectations before execution begins.
- Monitor planned versus actual execution, support the Dispatcher(s) during material or equipment exceptions, step in as dispatch backup whenrequired,
and make escalation decisions when changes materially affect site productivity, cost, customer service, or schedule reliability.
- Support, lead, and develop the dispatch team so the group improves its daily execution, communication discipline, service quality, and readiness for future growth.
- Ensuretrucktrackingrequirementsare built into the plan, including driver check-ins, GPS compliance expectations, ticket upload requirements, documentation standards, and data quality needed to measure performance.
- Track haulage performance through practical KPIs,identifydrift early, review the cause of recurring misses, and recommend corrective actions that improve cost, service, productivity, reliability, and customer experience.
- Work with business units to ensure timecard audits, missing tickets, unmatched transactions, invoice discrepancies, broker documentation, and AP/AR readiness are addressed daily.
- Maintainvisibility to recurring defects, system issues, broker training gaps, missing information, customer concerns, and process failures through a shared issue log, and resolve service or conflict issues in real time where possible.
- Serve as the primary point of contact fortransportationplatform support, and administrative teams.
- Identifybottlenecks, reduce repeat defects, improve planning discipline, strengthen broker compliance, improve customer service outcomes, recommend staffing or process adjustments when daily backlog cannot be cleared, and remain accountable for the overall performance of the haulage function.
- Help the company achieve best in class customer service for our customers and partners - Support the business in growth and improvement projects as a subject matter expert How you WOW us - 5-10+ years of experience in transportation,logistics, dispatch, haulage coordination, construction operations, or fleet management.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction Management, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered - Experience coordinating trucks, equipment, materials, suppliers, and third-party haulers.
- Experience in construction, aggregates, heavy civil, paving, or related industries preferred.
- Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Demonstrated commitment tomaintainingand promoting a safe, healthy, and compliant work environmentin accordance withcompany policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Experience working with internal operations teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors/brokers.
- Strong communicationand relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively with project managers, superintendents,foremen, drivers, suppliers, brokers, and customers.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and data accuracy.
