Caregivers/HCA/PSW
AllWellCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver, Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Availability; Must be available at least 10 hours per week.
Duties
We provide care 24/7, so we have 2-12 hour shifts available early morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight to meet our clients’ needs. We work with people of all ages and are generally caring for clients on a 1-to-1 basis.
- Meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care.
- Monitor patient vital signs and observe changes in condition, reporting any concerns promptly
- Execute Client's care plan as outlined by the Case Manager.
- Help with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide.
- Identify and report client care concerns to Case Manager when needed.
- Assist clients with Transfers, Ambulation, and Exercises.
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.
- Administer Medications and Treatments under strict protocol.
- Maintain Client's records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.

Experience
- Certified HCA (Health Care Aide), PSW (Personal Support Worker), NA (Nursing Attendant), CSW (Community Support Worker), internationally trained nurses, or nursing students.
- Previous experience in acute care environments or similar healthcare settings.
- Strong computer operation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple responsibilities.
- Must be on HCA directory or willing to apply within 3 months of start of employment.
- Driver’s license and reliable vehicle an asset.
