Job Title: Guidewire Lead

Location: Kitchener, Ontario

Duration: 06-12 Months

Hourly Pay Rate 70 CAD

: This role involves leading Guidewire functional testing efforts for critical business applications in a hybrid work environment, with a focus on ensuring quality and efficiency in testing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

- Guidewire Functional Testing Expertise in PC/BC and CC
- Experience in functional, regression, and integration testing processes
- Proficiency in defect management and test tracking using tools such as JIRA
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Tosca)
- Basic skills in SQL for backend validation and database testing
- Understanding of insurance domains
- Exposure to Agile development life cycle,



Scrum practices, or CI/CD pipeline integration
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

- Actively participate in requirements elaboration sessions, sprint planning, and release readiness reviews
- Design, develop, and execute functional test plans and detailed test cases
- Document, log, and track defects using management tools
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners
- Conduct regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Prepare high-quality test documentation and present testing results
- Coordinate with business stakeholders for demos and escalate issues as needed
