Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated professionals to join our educational team as a Kindergarten/Grade 1 Teacher and Kindergarten Assistant. These vital roles are designed to foster a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating learning environment for young children. As a teacher or assistant, you will play a key part in shaping early childhood development, supporting students’ academic growth, and encouraging social-emotional skills.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards for Kindergarten and Grade 1 students. Must follow the Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity, creativity, and respect among young learners
- Use effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues regularly
- Support students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or assistance with disabilities
- Utilize educational technology to track student progress and prepare instructional materials
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring safety, organization, and timely transitions throughout the day
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in classroom settings or early childhood education environments
- Ontario Certified Teacher preferred for the teacher and RECE/ECE for the Educational Assistant
- Solid knowledge of teaching methods for Kindergarten and Grade 1 levels, including math, literacy, and social skills
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable; exceptional communication skills are essential
- Familiarity with special education practices and experience supporting students with disabilities is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in computer skills, lesson planning and record keeping
- Demonstrated writing skills for creating reports, lesson plans, and communication with parents or guardians
- Passion for early childhood development combined with patience, adaptability, and a nurturing attitude

Pay: $47,452.38-$65,000.00 per year
