Hecla Resort located in the beautiful Hecla Provincial Park is a full service, year round resort offering exceptional service, made from scratch foods and a welcoming atmosphere for our Guests. Our passion for hospitality and our commitment to Guest service starts with the people we employ.

We pay a fair hourly wage, and have staff accommodations close to the resort for only $9 per day, which includes utilities, internet and cable.

Staff housing is only 1.5 km drive from the resort, or a 10 – 15 minute walk taking a short-cut through our golf course. We have a small, close-knit community of about 50 employees that live in housing on the Island. If you like nature and the outdoors, this is a fantastic place to live! Our employees also get discounts on food at Seagull's, golf, and some sessions at our Salka Spa!

Lakeview Hecla Resort is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager with a robust background in plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems to oversee all aspects of facility maintenance and capital projects at our full-service resort.

This role is critical to ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and guest-ready environment across all resort facilities, including guest rooms, pools, spa, restaurants, and public spaces. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team, manage ongoing projects, and work collaboratively with operations to drive efficiency, accountability,



and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and schedule the maintenance team to ensure 7-day operational coverage
- Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and pride in workmanship
- Support training and development across the team
- Coordinate internal staff and external contractors as required
- Oversee all preventative and reactive maintenance across the resort
- Ensure all systems are operating efficiently, including: HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical systems, lighting, plumbing systems, water treatment plant, pools, hot tubs, and water features (ensuring compliance with Manitoba Health regulations)
- Coordinate renovation work, including painting, wall repairs, and upgrades
- Respond promptly to safety concerns and emergency situations

Qualifications

- Minimum 3+ years of maintenance leadership experience, preferably in hospitality or a large facility
- Trade certification or strong technical background in one or more of the following: Plumbing, Electrical or Mechanical/HVAC knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with building systems, preventative maintenance programs, and compliance standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
