Fitch is currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner based out of our Toronto office. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide HR coverage for Canada across all Fitch businesses and groups represented there, while also supporting select U.based employee populations and regional business needs. You will support employees and managers across the employee lifecycle, including performance management, employee relations and compensation. 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist, HR service center or HR business partner role, with demonstrated exposure to employee relations, performance management and annual HR processes. ~ Practical knowledge of Canadian HR policies, employment standards and compliance requirements, including the ability to apply them consistently to employee and manager questions in Canada and cross-border situations. ~ Ability to manage routine employee relations matters from intake through resolution, including documenting issues, advising managers and escalating complex or higher-risk cases appropriately. ~ Ability to support annual HR cycles, including objectives, performance reviews, calibration, compensation and promotions, by tracking deliverables, following up on deadlines and identifying potential issues. ~ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain HR guidance, policy requirements and process steps clearly to employees and managers.



~ Ability to build effective working relationships with managers, employees, senior HRBPs and partner teams such as Finance, Compliance, IT and HR operations. ~ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HR systems and basic reporting, including the ability to review data, identify trends and summarize findings for HRBPs or business leaders. ~ Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to prioritize employee requests, cyclical work and ad-hoc projects without losing accuracy or responsiveness. ~ Demonstrated process improvement mindset, including the ability to identify inefficiencies in current HR processes, recommend practical improvements, use data or stakeholder feedback to support changes and help implement more productive ways of working.

Including, and not limited to, employee relations, performance management, position management, on-boarding, and off-boarding. Provide HR support and guidance/advice to line managers on all employment related matters ensuring consistency in approach. Manage immigration and relocation services as required.

Work with the Senior HRBPs and local office head to support regional HR activities and initiatives. Work proactively with other support teams such as Finance, Compliance and IT to ensure employee queries are resolved and to establish good relationships with these areas. Manage and resolve employee relations and performance management issues escalating to Senior HRBPs and/or the Employee Relations Center of Excellence as necessary or when handling more complex cases.





Coordinate ad-hoc reports with MIS team and present data to business and Senior HRBPs in a meaningful manner. Take the lead in monitoring and analyzing periodic reports such as PDR and objectives, new joiners and leavers reporting back to the team with any issues/trends. Support the business on all annual/cyclical activities such as annual performance reviews, mid-year reviews, compensation and promotions process.

Identify areas for potential improvement including systems and processes and bring these to the attention of the Senior HRBPs with a plan of action. Assist with ad-hoc projects and duties.
