JOB TITLE: Director, Human Resources (Canada)
Job Type: Permanent
Pay Rate/Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
Location: Etobicoke, ON (On-site)

Your New Role
As the Director, Human Resources (Canada), you will provide strategic leadership for the company's HR and payroll functions nationwide. Reporting directly to the President, you will oversee talent acquisition, succession planning, employee development, compensation and benefits, payroll operations, employee relations, compliance, and HR systems. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while leading and developing a high-performing HR and Payroll team.
What You Need to Do
- Lead the HR and payroll functions across Canada.
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide guidance to senior leadership on workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee talent acquisition, employee development, succession planning, and retention initiatives.
- Manage payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS operations.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead investigations and resolve complex employee relations matters.
- Deliver HR reporting,
analytics, and workforce metrics to leadership.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance workplace culture.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- CHRP, CHRL, CPHR, or equivalent HR designation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience overseeing payroll, benefits, employee relations, and HRIS functions.
- Proven ability to partner with executive leadership teams.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage and develop teams in a dynamic business environment.
