About the Role

You'll be the first bookkeeper on the team. You'll be in real customers' accounts every day getting them configured properly in Frank, and you'll be the person the team comes to for bookkeeping knowledge.

To be clear about the shape of this role: it's a do-the-work role. We're looking for a solid, experienced bookkeeper who takes pride in accurate books and wants to do good work.

What You'll Get To Do

- Configure bookkeeping inside Frank for customer accounts — chart of accounts mapping, categorisation and transaction rules, reconciliation setup, push-and-match to QuickBooks/Xero
- Run configuration calls with customers, hands-on in their accounts
- Get accounts configured and turned around — accurate and compliant, every time
- Be the bookkeeping knowledge source the whole team draws on to improve product and user experience
- Keep the standard consistent, so quality doesn't depend on who ran the call
- Flag the accounts heading for trouble before they get there

What Success Looks Like In Your First 6 Months

By the end of month six:

- Accounts are configured right the first time — chart of accounts, transaction rules and reconciliation set up accurately, with rework the exception rather than the norm.
- Turnaround is predictable — a known,



repeatable time from handover to a fully configured account.
- The standard holds whoever ran the call — configuration documented consistently enough that every account can be delivered consistently across clients.
- You're the team's bookkeeping resource — product and CX come to you, and your knowledge helps inform how Frank works and improves client experience.
- Problem accounts get caught early — the ones heading for trouble or with a mess to deal with are flagged in advance.

Metrics you'll own and improve: Configuration Accuracy, Account Turnaround Time, Accounts Configured

What You'll Bring To The Role

- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience across multiple client accounts or entities
- Bank reconciliations — the full job, across messy months and clean ones
- Transaction categorisation, and knowing where things actually belong
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Financial controlling — keeping it accurate and compliant
- QuickBooks Online and Xero — chart of accounts, classes and locations, bank feeds, reconciliation, matching
- The ability to walk into a mess and know where to start
- Comfort saying "that's wrong, here's why" to a customer, kindly
- Integrity to hold a standard when nobody's checking
- Clear, confident communication — you can walk a founder through their own numbers in plain English
- Working in a multi-timezone, remote-first setting with a fast-moving product team

Bonus points





- Experience across more than one country's books — we touch US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand
- Experience with a bookkeeping automation, receipt-capture or ledger-integration tool
- You've explained bookkeeping to people who aren't accountants and enjoyed doing it
